Jean Jang
Born in South Korea, Jean started dance training when she was just five years old. She moved to Austin, Texas when she was twelve years old where she continued her dance training in classical ballet, modern, and jazz. She pursued her training at the Ballet Austin Academy and built her performing experiences in The Nutcracker and the Young Artists Spring Show for many years. She participated in various dance and choreography intensives including Lines Ballet Summer Intensive, Ballet Austin Summer Intensive, Charlotte New Music Festival, and Regional Dance of America National Choreography Intensive - where she was selected as a Project Tier Choreographer. Her passion for dance led her to become a student at Butler University as a Dance Performance major, where she graduated with a degree Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013.
Jean has danced professionally in California and New York, and also presented her choreographic works in Manhattan, New York.
Jean currently resides in Seoul, South Korea, where she works as a freelance choreographer/dancer/educator specializing in classical ballet, contemporary ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
